Why we exist.

In Zambia, at just three schools we have been able to track statistics on, we have witnessed heartbreaking stories of young girls as young as 11 becoming pregnant, suffering miscarriages, or even losing their lives due to the physical toll of childbirth on their underdeveloped bodies. This crisis is not just a statistic - it is a reality that these girls are living every day.

The Issue

In many parts of Africa, young girls are missing out on valuable education simply because of their menstrual cycle. Forced to stay home due to a lack of hygiene products, they fall behind in school and are at risk of dropping out. This not only limits their future opportunities but also leaves them vulnerable to being sold off as child brides by their families.

The situation is dire for these girls, who often have no choice but to use makeshift solutions - like buckets - during their periods. Without access to proper menstrual hygiene products, they are at risk of infections and other health complications. Some girls resort to trading sexual favors for basic necessities like soap, further perpetuating the cycle of exploitation and poverty.

The mission of our non-profit organization is to empower young girls in Zambia, Africa by providing them with feminine products and materials to create their own sustainable source of income.

We believe that by addressing the lack of access to feminine hygiene products, we can help reduce the number of girls who drop out of school due to menstruation-related issues and prevent them from becoming child brides.

We strive to create a world where every girl has access to the resources she needs to succeed, regardless of her socioeconomic background. We work with local communities to source materials and teach women how to make reusable feminine hygiene products. By purchasing these products back from the women, we help them earn a fair wage and provide for their families. Our goal is to break the cycle of poverty and inequality by providing education and economic opportunities to young girls.

We believe that by investing in their future, we are investing in the future of our global community.

OUR GOALS

1. Expand Access to Menstrual Health Resources

Provide sustainable access to feminine hygiene products for at least 500 girls in Zambia within the first year, reducing barriers to health, dignity, and educational participation.

2. Build Strategic Partnerships and Advocacy Efforts

Collaborate with non-profits, government entities, and community leaders to advocate for menstrual health as a basic human right and to create supportive policies and educational environments for girls.

3. Empower Women and Strengthen Local Economies

Equip and support a minimum of 50 local women with the resources and training needed to produce feminine products, creating income opportunities through ethical purchasing and community-based production.

4. Develop Sustainable, Scalable, and Replicable Programs

Design and implement solutions that are environmentally sustainable, locally led, and scalable, allowing successful models to be replicated in other communities and regions.

5. Advance Education and Reduce Menstrual Stigma

Partner with schools and communities to deliver culturally informed menstrual health education, challenge stigma, and promote open dialogue around menstruation.
